Creativity and Uncertainty
We are currently going through a period of uncertainty. Things of which were were sure at the start of the year are now all up in the air. Instead of the planned Creativity and Serendipity Week in Geneva this week which Wendy was co chairing and Fred was to give a keynote, we, like so many of us, turned to our own online version.
To mark the week (which has been rescheduled to next year), Ron Beghetto of Arizona State University gave a thought provoking talk on the research he is developing around uncertainty and how embracing and developing uncertainty can lead to creative outcomes. The talk was moderate by Wendy and Vlad Glaveanu and the resulting discussion about how we resolve our uncertainty through action mirrored a lot of the interests of the work which comes out of this lab.
